Kendall Tyler Burns of Burns Remodeling LLC located in Victoria, Texas accepted a 50% downpayment for pergola construction in the amount of $11,200. After numerous delays, he walked away from the project without doing any of the work and refused to return the downpayment. In 2023, a suit was filed – XXXX v. Burns Remodeling LLC, Cause No. 423-9512, in the 423rd Judicial District Court of Bastrop County, Texas. The final judgement found in favor of the plaintiff, requiring repayment of the original $11,200 as well as reimbursement of attorney’s fees of $3,927.50. Despite signing an agreement to pay the amount owed, Burns Remodeling LLC has not repaid the debt.
